Those with an interest in working with rural pre-school teaching, orphans and AIDS awareness as well as rural home building projects in the stunning beach village of St Lucia.

Anyone keen on immersing themselves in South African culture and helping disabled or under privileged children.

No qualifications needed, just a big heart and a desire to provide care and support. Anyone who is qualified however will be well utilised!

This placement would suit:

People wanting to work on a child-care or teaching project in Cape Town, South Africa to improve the future prospects for children at day care centres and primary schools in need of support. People wanting to experience African culture’s and the beautiful cosmopoletan city of Cape Town and the way of life in this amazing destination. People wanting to gain hands-on education, development or social work experience in Africa.

Can be extended to 6 months

This placement would suit:

People who want to make a real difference, want first-hand experience of real South African culture and who have initiative. You can also do lots of other activities while you're there. No qualifications or previous experience are necessary, just a good dose of enthusiasm and a caring nature!

When you're on your placement, if you'd like to extend your time, you can do so at a cost of £110 per additional week.

Duration details:

This placement can be extended for any length of time (many of our volunteers do!), subject to availability and any visa restrictions that may apply.
