This placement would suit people who want to make a real difference to animals, want first-hand experience of real Malaysian culture and who have initiative. No qualifications or previous experience are necessary, just a good dose of enthusiasm!

Costs vary depending on how long you want to stay for. Prices start from £2,495 for 4 weeks and include food and accommodation, 24/7 support and backup before you go and throughout your placement, as well as meeting you at the nearest airport. When you're on your placement, if you'd like to extend your time, we may be able to arrange it for you.
Duration details:
This is a a fixed-length project of 4 weeks and you can combine it with any of our other projects in Malaysia or any of our other destinations, to give you an even more exciting travel experience.
For those staying for two or more months, spend the second month on a tropical island and undertake marine conservation projects and a PADI scuba diving course. Those staying for three months will also trek the jungles of Borneo. Also discounts available when booked in conjunction with one of our other programmes in Kenya, Tanzania or Zanzibar.
Anyone aged between 18-24 years who wants to fully integrate into a local community in Borneo and work on a wide variety of projects that make a lasting difference to people and wildlife. You can also undertake adventure activities such as scuba diving, jungle and mountain trekking as part of your trip.
