Volunteering -  Teaching & TEFL in India

This placement would suit:

individuals who can offer direct assistance to those in need. Your work may involve teaching English to Tibetan monks or nuns, or helping disabled young people live a more independent life. India is not for the faint hearted and you must be mature, self sufficient, open minded and willing to forgo some of your creature comforts.

Cost details:

There is a teaching skills course in London that you will be asked to go on. for 5 days before you depart, BUT the cost IS included in your fee.

This placement would suit:

anyone with an enthusiasm for teaching and a desire to learn!

Duration details:

2 weeks up to 12 months

This placement would suit:

individuals with a can-do attitude who are willing to make the most of their placement and above all enjoy it. We especially look for volunteers with interests in extra-curricular activities such as sports or music.

A one-week Teaching Skills Course takes place in London for volunteers. This is included in the fee

This placement would suit:

Those in schools placements can do a pre-placement Teaching Skills Course that runs for 5 days in London and is the cost is included in our fee

Somebody fit and enthusiastic who wants to share their passion for football with eager children. People who want to make a real difference, want first-hand experience of real Indian culture and who have initiative. You can also learn Tamil while you're there. No qualifications or previous experience are necessary, just a good dose of enthusiasm!

When you're on your placement, if you'd like to extend your time, you can do so at a cost of £140 per additional week.

This placement can be extended for any length of time (many of our volunteers do!), restricted only by any possible visa requirements.
